Samsung’s rollable display is here
According to a patent published in June 2018, Samsung had answered various manufacturers of increasing screen sizes without making everything else bigger.
Another patent filed in December of 2015 disclosed a flexible display unit 10, which could be rolled in or rolled out from the frame F about the rod R, making the device be easily carried and allowing protection of the flexible display unit 10 from an external impact.
In recent years, Samsung has filed several patents related to flexible displays. Still, it has come up with a new approach that is pretty different from the previously patented designs. Such a device can take the form of a Tablet in which the flexible display unit 10 can be rolled out to about 8 inches or even larger size. This can affect a major shift in the way we consume content in today's world.
