This new invention which gives users an added benefits of not going to get the shopping cart themselves but to have a shopping cart come to them instead, much like ordering a cab is surely going to be a hit amongst user\u2019s shopping experience.<\/p>\n<p>Last week, Walmart\u2019s patent application was published,\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/appft.uspto.gov\/netacgi\/nph-Parser?Sect1=PTO1&amp;Sect2=HITOFF&amp;d=PG01&amp;p=1&amp;u=%2Fnetahtml%2FPTO%2Fsrchnum.html&amp;r=1&amp;f=G&amp;l=50&amp;s1=%2220160260161%22.PGNR.&amp;OS=DN\/20160260161&amp;RS=DN\/20160260161\">US20160260161A1<\/a> titled \u2018Shopping facility assistance systems, devices and methods\u2019, which describes how the motorized and self-driven shopping cart would reach the customer irrespective of where the customer is located within the store.<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/www.citiusminds.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/WalmartShoppingCart.png\" width=\"622\" height=\"379\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The patent describes how the motorized cart will be remotely controlled with a central computer. The user can use a smartphone or a special Walmart provided device to order a cart which at the initialization of a button will be able to determine the location of the customer in the store and the central computer uses the information to trigger the self-driving activity of the cart.
