The company is working on its digital assistant Siri to provide the callers why the call was rejected with a reason through a text message. Google has also been working to offer smart replies with text messages across many of its applications and on Android.<\/p>\n<p>Apple\u2019s recently filed <a href=\"http:\/\/appft1.uspto.gov\/netacgi\/nph-Parser?Sect1=PTO1&amp;Sect2=HITOFF&amp;d=PG01&amp;p=1&amp;u=\/netahtml\/PTO\/srchnum.html&amp;r=1&amp;f=G&amp;l=50&amp;s1=20180146089.PGNR.\">Patent Application<\/a>, titled \u201cIntelligent digital assistant for declining an incoming call\u201d, describes a method for providing a digital assistant that can enable intelligent declining of an incoming call in a more informative and communicative manner.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.citiusminds.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/CitiusMinds_AppleSmartReplies2.png\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3051\" src=\"https:\/\/www.citiusminds.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/CitiusMinds_AppleSmartReplies2.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"466\" height=\"512\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.citiusminds.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/CitiusMinds_AppleSmartReplies2.png 466w, https:\/\/www.citiusminds.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/CitiusMinds_AppleSmartReplies2-273x300.png 273w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 466px) 100vw, 466px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>In one embodiment, Apple reveals that the caller will receive a text message, if the call has been declined by the user, which comprises contextual data such as the caller\u2019s location, user\u2019s mobile operating mode e.g. Do not disturb, Airplane, etc.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.citiusminds.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/CitiusMinds_AppleSmartReplies.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3052\" src=\"https:\/\/www.citiusminds.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/CitiusMinds_AppleSmartReplies.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"616\" height=\"402\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.citiusminds.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/CitiusMinds_AppleSmartReplies.png 616w, https:\/\/www.citiusminds.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/CitiusMinds_AppleSmartReplies-300x196.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 616px) 100vw, 616px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Mobile device can send a corresponding response option that is more informative or appropriate e.g. if a user is driving a vehicle to Oak St., the respond from Siri can be \u201cI&#8217;m driving\u201d, \u201cDriving to Oak St now. Be there in 63 minutes\u201d or \u201cBe home in 1 hour, 12 minutes\u201d according to the user\u2019s location or relative information.<\/p>\n<p>Even when it is not pleasurable as speaking to the one you are calling, it definitely gives you a better idea of why the call was declined than a simple \u2013 \u201cCan\u2019t talk right now\u201d.
