Apple’s R&D regarding the possible use of titanium for future Apple devices, with a particular focus on a MacBook, began back in April 2015 with a provisional patent followed by a patent application in 2017. Last Thursday Apple’s third patent application was published covering a MacBook and iDevices possibly using a titanium base with a polymer or glass cover.
