By Donald Zuhn — In a Patent Alert e-mail distributed earlier today, the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office announced that “[d]ue to recent technical issues, the PKI authentication and migration deadlines associated with the authentication change for EFS-Web and Private PAIR are no longer applicable until further notice.” The Office had announced in late December that the initial December 31, 2018 deadline for the retirement of PKI certificates was being postponed until February 15, 2019.
