When Jony Ive introduced Pencil back in 2015 for iPad pro, everybody thought it is just the right answer to Samsung Note devices. Many critics liked the product.
A new patent application from apple published this week talks about the use of Pencil on iPhones and wider set of applications. This could send Samsung into tizzy especially after the Note 7 Fiasco.
The Apple’s latest published application US20160364091 titled ‘Devices and Methods for Manipulating User Interfaces with a Stylus’, describes how Pencil can be used on iPhones as well as not just restricted to Notes Application now.
The use of Pencil is now not restricted to Notes. Few illustrations points to the use of Pencil in iMessages, iMovie etc. This will open a whole new range of convenience for the users especially the iPhone Plus phone series and will be a direct blow to Samsung Note series as they already have been hurt a lot with their hastily launched Note 7 phone just before the fall this year.

Good to know that the uses of Apple Pencil have enhanced; now I can buy one and use it for both my Macbook and iPhone. Thanks for the info.
This new iPhone Pencil has opened up more options for its users, specially for people like me who are pursuing their careers as an artist. Thanks to the Apple technology, it is evolving at its best.
Wow this is awesome news for all the apple users. This new apple Pencil will be very helpful as it is not just restricted to notes applications but can also be used in other applications. I am also an Apple user, I would love to have this pencil with me soon.
